Powerball ticket worth $50K bought at N.J. liquor store

A $50,000 Powerball lottery ticket was sold for Monday’s drawing at a liquor store in Morris County.

The winner bought the lucky ticket at Kenvil Liquor Wine & Food Store on Route 46 in the Kevil section of Roxbury, lottery officials said.

The third-prize ticket matched four numbers plus the Powerball.

Monday’s winning numbers were: 10, 11, 34, 59 and 68. The Powerball drawn was 14 with a Power Play of 3X.

No one across the country hit Monday’s $233 million jackpot pushing the top prize for Wednesday’s drawing to $248 million with a cash option of $113.4 million.

A second-prize, $1 million ticket was bought in Florida for Monday’s drawing. It matched five numbers but not the Powerball.

In addition, no one hit Monday’s secondary, $10 million drawing.

Those winning numbers were: 22, 48, 61, 63 and 66. The Double Play number drawn was: 17.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers but not the Powerball and win at least $1 million. The odds of winning a third prize of at least $50,000 are 913,129 to 1.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
